About ClosureCast
ClosureCast is a freemium mobile app that aggregates real-time road construction zone data from public state DOT feeds across 27 U.S. states, giving drivers a single place to plan around closures, lane shifts, and major projects on the roads they use most.
Unlike navigation apps like Google Maps or Waze, ClosureCast isn't trying to route you. It's a planning tool: a quick-reference view of what's torn up where, when projects are expected to end, and what's coming up in the next several weeks. You check it before you leave the house, not while you're driving.

- •For Teams: seats, alerts, and admin tools that equip a whole crew, including contractors, logistics, and fleet operations.
- •Developer data API (For Developers): a clean, verified JSON feed of closures for your own app, routing, or operations dashboard.
- •Enterprise: publish your own closures, extend coverage to your metros, and deploy across your properties.

What ClosureCast Is NOT
A common misconception worth clearing up upfront:
- ✗ Not a navigation or GPS app. We don't route you. We tell you what's happening on roads you already know.
- ✗ Not a government agency. ClosureCast is an independent service. We aggregate public data from state DOTs, but we are not affiliated with or endorsed by any DOT or transportation authority.
- ✗ Not a real-time safety system. Data is updated several times a day from official feeds but should never be relied on for in-the-moment driving decisions. Always follow posted signs and signals.

A Note From Our Founder
ClosureCast started with a five-minute drive that took me an hour.
There was construction on both the highway and the access road, and I had no idea until I was already stuck in it. Had I known, I could have taken another route and gotten there in ten or fifteen minutes. Instead, I sat there thinking: this information exists. Someone knew these roads would be affected. So why was it so hard for me to know too? That question became the beginning of ClosureCast.
Road closure and construction information exists, but for the everyday person, finding it can mean piecing together information from different websites, alerts, news reports, social media posts, and local resources. And once you travel outside of the area you know, you may have to figure out an entirely different system all over again. It shouldn't be this hard.
If I live in Houston and drive to Dallas, my access to road information shouldn't change simply because I've crossed into another city. If I travel to another state and rent a car, I shouldn't have to figure out which local app, website, or alert system I need just to understand what's happening on the roads around me. The road doesn't reset at the city line. Neither should your access to information.
That's the gap ClosureCast was built to close. ClosureCast was built to make road closure information easier to find, understand, and plan around, whether you're commuting across town, traveling somewhere unfamiliar, or managing people and vehicles across multiple communities.
The hardest part wasn't seeing the problem. It was deciding to build the solution. I built ClosureCast independently, without waiting for a team, outside validation, or permission to prove the idea first. As an overthinker and a perfectionist, that meant learning one of the hardest lessons of building anything: something useful in people's hands matters more than something perfect that never leaves your head.
ClosureCast began with a traffic jam, but what I saw was an infrastructure gap. And I'm building the layer I believe should exist.
For the person heading to work Monday morning. For the family driving across the state. For the traveler navigating an unfamiliar city. For the business trying to keep its drivers moving. Because knowing what's happening on the road ahead shouldn't depend on knowing where to look.
